Jack Tramiel – Commodore Business Machines
Jack Tramiel, born december 13 1928 in Poland as Jacek Trzmiel, dead april 8 2012 in Californa is most famous for being the creator and origin of Commodore Business Machines.He started in 1984 Atari Corporation after leaving Commodore Business Machines. The company originaly named Tramiel Technologies Ltd quickly changed name to Atari after the purchase of Atari Inc. from Warner Communications.
Jack Tramiel is credited the quote “It’s time to create computers for the masses, not the classes” and is believed to be one of the reasons of the home computer explosion like business around the world.
Jack Tramiel started his carrier within the electronics by selling and repairing typewriters and calculators from for exampel Texas Instruments. Jack Tramiel later bought the company MOS Technologies and laid the foundation for the incredibely popular computers VIC-20, Commodore 64 and the predesessor Amiga. The rest is computer history by now.
